The company operates a deliberate policy of transfer of technology, expertise and general competence from its foreign technical experts to Nigeria
OCO has a verifiable program to address NCD issues in terms of employment and training opportunities provided to Nigeria Engineers, Technicians, Welders and other professions in the execution of all its projects.


SAFETY PROGRAM
OCO has an exemplary track record with construction safety and recognizes the importance and necessity of safety working conditions and is cognizant t of good practices. Safety is just as important as technical excellence, quality of workmanship or timely project completion and all form equally key elements in all projects undertaken by OCO.
Our safety record comes from a strong dedicated team effort on everyone's part: from on-site construction tradesmen through project management and into the office. The people at OCO are proud of their fine safety performance will. OCO will continue its efforts to exemplify "the best in safety" in ensuing year
A specific Safety program is established on each project to minimize accidents and raise safety awareness. It comprises as a minimum the following features:
(a) INDUCTION
Each individual employee participates in a safety induction course and is provided with safety induction in applicable to this specific project. Written acknowledgement of the safety instruction is a prerequisite prior to commencing work.
(b) PRE-JOB SAFETY MEETING
OCO meet with the client prior to start-up to discuss in detail all matters pertaining to safety rules and expectations.
(c) TOOL BOX MEETINGS
Field and workshop personnel holds daily Tool Box meetings to identify hazard, improper work methods, protective equipment requirements and safely plan their work. These result of these meetings are reported to management.
(d) SUBCONTRACTOR'S SAFETY OBLIGATION
Each subcontractor is made part of the overall safety program.
(e) FIRST AID FACILITIES
All requirements for First Aid facilities are met or exceeded.
(f) INSPECTION
OCO conducts regular safety inspections and audits and cooperates at all times with occupational Health and Safety inspectors and implements without delay any corrective action or suggestions.
(g) COMPANY STATEMENT
OCO believes in the fundamental principal that safety is everyone's responsibility.
It is our heartfelt desire to create an environment on our projects that is free from all potential sources of injury and mishaps to our employees and to work with our customers and others to enhance overall project safety.
